Your ad budget is out the door — say Rp3,000,000 for the month. The clicks are pouring in, and hundreds of people are landing on your sales page. Then you check the numbers at month’s end and the orders are a trickle. Before you blame the ads, look at the one thing most advertisers overlook: the landing page, the place where all that expensive traffic actually touches down. A page that’s cluttered, confusing, or simply unconvincing will quietly burn through every click you worked so hard to buy.
The good news is that a landing page which converts isn’t about slick design or fancy animation. What decides the outcome is whether the essential elements are all present and arranged in the right order. This article is a checklist of 10 must-have elements you can use to audit your own page today. Open your landing page in the next tab and tick them off one by one — what’s already there, and what’s still missing.
The 10-Element Checklist for a Landing Page That Converts
1. A Headline That Promises a Result, Not a Product Name
Your headline is the first three seconds that decide whether a visitor keeps reading or bounces. The classic SMB mistake is a headline that’s nothing but the shop name or product name. Visitors don’t care about your name — they care about “what’s in it for me.” Swap “Welcome to Aira Skincare” for “Dull Skin to Glowing in 14 Days — Safe for Sensitive Skin.” Lead with the result and who it’s for.
2. A Subheadline That Backs It Up
Just below the headline, add one supporting line that explains the “how” or defuses an objection. If the headline promises glowing skin, the subheadline might read: “Formulated with clinically tested ingredients and trusted by more than 5,000 customers.” The subheadline bridges the big promise up top and the proof that follows.
3. A Hero Visual That’s Actually Relevant
The first image or video a visitor sees — the “hero” — should show your product in use or the real result it delivers, not a generic stock photo. For physical products, show the detail and the context of use. For services, show real faces or the finished work. A short 15–30 second video of the product in action usually builds confidence faster than a wall of text.
4. A CTA Button That Stands Out and Says Something Specific
The CTA (call to action) is your action button, and there are two fatal mistakes. First, the button blends into the background so no one sees it. Second, the label is a snooze — “Send” or “Submit.” Give the button a bold, contrasting color, and rewrite the label to match what the buyer actually wants, like “Order Now on WhatsApp” or “Claim Today’s Promo.” Repeat this button several times down the page, so the moment a visitor is convinced, it’s always within reach.
5. Social Proof
Indonesian buyers are heavily swayed by what other people say. A landing page with no social proof is like an empty warung — people hesitate to walk in. Show customer testimonials (ideally real chat screenshots or buyer photos), star ratings, units sold, or the logos of the media and marketplaces you’ve appeared on. One honest testimonial that names a specific worry (“I hesitated because of the price, but it turned out to be worth every rupiah”) is far more powerful than ten reviews that sound too perfect.
6. Benefits, Not Just Features
A feature is what your product has; a benefit is what the buyer gets. Don’t just write “contains 10% Vitamin C” (a feature) — spell out “fades acne marks so your face looks brighter and more even” (a benefit). The simple trick: every time you write a feature, finish the sentence with “…so you can…” Then lay the benefits out as short, scannable bullets:
- Saves you time — no fuss, no hassle
- Safe for daily use with no side effects
- Beginner-friendly, even if it’s your first time
7. A Transparent Offer and Price
Hiding the price doesn’t make people ask — it makes them leave. Present the offer clearly: the original price struck through, the promo price, and exactly what they get. For example: “Regular price Rp350,000, today Rp199,000, including free shipping and a bonus how-to e-book.” A package that visibly stacks value makes the price feel reasonable.
8. Trust and Guarantees
This is what knocks down the last wall of doubt. Include guarantees that shrink the buyer’s risk: a money-back guarantee, COD (cash on delivery), free returns, secure-payment logos, a real phone number, or a store address. A line like “100% money-back guarantee if it’s not right for you” shifts the risk off the buyer’s shoulders and onto yours — and that makes people far braver at checkout.
9. Honest Urgency and Scarcity
People put things off when there’s no reason to act now. Give a gentle nudge with a deadline or limited availability — “Promo ends in 3 days” or “Only 8 slots left this month.” The key word is honest. A fake countdown that resets every time someone visits will erode trust and make your brand look cheap.
10. An FAQ That Answers Objections
Every buyer has doubts before they pay: “Is it safe?” “How long does delivery take?” “Can I return it?” An FAQ section answers all of them at once, so no one has to leave the page to ask. Write the four to six questions that show up most often in your DMs or WhatsApp chats, then answer them honestly and briefly. A good FAQ is often the final push before someone taps “order.”
Two Technical Foundations People Forget
Beyond the 10 elements above, two technical details can make or break your conversions. First, load speed. If the page takes five seconds to open, most of your ad traffic is already gone. Compress your images and avoid heavy, bloated pages. Second, the mobile experience. The vast majority of Meta ad traffic comes from phones, so make sure buttons are easy to tap with a thumb, text is readable without zooming, and nothing breaks on a small screen.
One closing principle: one landing page, one goal. Strip out the navigation menu that invites visitors to wander off to other pages, and delete any link you don’t need. The fewer the choices, the clearer the path to the button that matters. Turn the Checklist Into Orders
Run through these 10 elements against your own page and fix the gaps one at a time — small changes here often lift conversions more than any tweak to the ads themselves. And remember, in Aira Tech’s model your ad budget is always paid directly from your own Meta ad account to Meta; we never hold your spend, so you keep full control of every rupiah while we focus on results.
